A great way to help envisioning the right placement and size is to block off an area on your wall with painter’s tape. Experiment with different dimension possibilities. Measure the height and width of the potential space. Check out the Pricing information for an applicable price range.
It is best to know if you plan on framing the work before the work is started, even if you don’t plan on doing it right away. If that is a consideration, different stretcher bars are used to allow for a bigger range of framing options for you down the road. Framing is as personal a decision as the art itself. I would say that the preference to frame or not to frame for my clients is 50/50.
We do provide custom framing for an additional cost as well. Our frames are “floating”, this is when the frame doesn’t touch the painting, There is about a .25 inch space all around the canvas, giving the appearance of the painting floating within the frame. Frames are crafted out of solid wood and stained and varnished to complement the art. Our frames add a total of 2 inches to the actual canvas size, so be sure to take this into consideration when determining the finished size.
